Contact

Questions, corrections, pitches and business enquiries are all welcome. The form below reaches the editorial inbox, and you can also contact us directly.

What to send where

  • A correction. Tell us the article and the specific sentence, and where the correct information comes from if you have it. This is the fastest way to get something fixed. Our Corrections Policy explains what happens next and how we mark an article that has been changed.
  • An article pitch. Read Write for Us first. It covers what we commission, what a good pitch looks like and what we pay.
  • An image or permissions query. Every photograph we use is credited on the Image Credits page with its source and licence. If you believe an image has been used incorrectly, tell us which article and we will take it down while we check.
  • A question about something we published. Genuinely welcome. If the answer would be useful to other readers, it often ends up added to the article.
  • Advertising and business enquiries. Use the form and say so in the first line.

What to expect

We read everything that arrives. Corrections are dealt with first and usually within a couple of working days. Pitches take longer, and if you have not heard back within two weeks it is reasonable to assume we are not taking it up, though a follow-up note is never unwelcome.

We do not publish sponsored posts presented as editorial, and we do not accept paid links. Requests of that kind will not get a reply.

How we handle what you send

The form asks for your name, your email address, an optional subject and your message, and nothing else. Those details are stored on this site and emailed to our inbox so we can reply. They are not sold or passed on for marketing, and they do not go to any third-party form service. Our Privacy Policy sets out the full picture.
